Allied Health Assistant (Occupational Therapy) Position

About the Role:
As an Allied Health Assistant, you will support our occupational therapist in delivering high-quality services to children and their families. This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and rewarding paediatric environment while contributing meaningfully to the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with implementing therapy programs under the guidance of qualified occupational therapists.

  • Build strong, supportive relationships with children and their families.

  • Prepare materials and resources for therapy sessions.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of client progress.

  • Ensure therapy spaces are organised, clean, and welcoming.

  • Work independently and manage your time effectively.

Requirements:

  • Completion of at least the first year of an undergraduate degree in Occupational Therapy (preferred).

  • A professional appearance and demeanor.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on building meaningful connections with families.

  • Demonstrated patience and a child-centered approach.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Valid Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain one).
